Participation

To qualify for The Crown Series Awards, students and teachers must dance in four (4) The Crown Series events

The current Series begins at the 2026 South Open Dancesport Championships.

The final event and final Awards Ceremony will take place at the 2027 Florida State Dancesport Championships. Participant MUST BE PRESENT to receive an award and the prize.
Point Accumulation System
All teachers and students will receive points based on participation AND merit.

Pro/Am Single Dance Entries:

1st Place: 8 points

2nd Place: 7 points

3rd Place: 6 points

4th Place: 5 points

5th Place: 4 points

Uncontested entries receive full points!

Solos, showcases, and proficiency entries receive 1 point.

Youth entries receive 1/2 the value of Adult entries.
Bonus Points for Teachers
Teachers dancing a minimum 50 entries receive the following Bonus Points:
2 students dancing - 200 points
3-5 students dancing - 500 points
6+ students dancing - 1000 points
